Who am I? The Craugher Defined

Today is Thanksgiving, and I have much to be thankful for.  I have been on a journey that started 22 years ago.  Well truthfully it started the day I entered this big beautiful world.  I just didn't know it.  You are on a journey too and since you are reading this I am now a part of it.  I count it a huge privilege to be able to encourage you along your way.

Why would you want to listen to me? I am not sure, but I know that I think you're an amazing addition to the planet.  Worth listening to for sure.  So, maybe you can learn from me and maybe I can learn from you.

I just wanted to start off by explaining who The Craugher is.  First, I am a daughter of the King of the Universe and a co-heir with Christ.  I didn't always know this, but one day 22 years ago,  I heard The Voice of the King and I have never been the same.

I am also an emotional creature.  I feel things intensely.  I've spend many years crying over the condition of the world, my circumstances and mostly myself.  Two years ago, in the midst of one of my emotional outbursts, I heard His Voice telling me that it took as much emotional energy to cry as it did to laugh and that He was turning my sorrow to joy and my mourning into laughter.  In that moment, my crying turned to laughter and The Craugher was born.

I hope to use this blog to encourage you to embrace your unique design and to be transformed into the amazing individual you were always meant to be.

SUPERPOWERS

Ever since I was a child, I have taken great pleasure in asking questions.  I believe it is my superpower.  You know, the thing I do like no one else; my sweet spot, the free money. Not general questions, like how things work and what something means, but deep questions, probing questions.  The kind that make people uncomfortable.   At first, I didn’t know this was the case.  I had the great gift of a grandmother who made me feel like my questions were normal and welcome.  She opened herself up like a book and poured out all the wisdom she accrued throughout her life and I soaked it up like a thirsty plant.  I wanted to know what made her tick.  Why she did the things she did.  I wanted to understand her motivations and because I listened to her heart I could deeply love her.  Even though it was no secret that she wasn’t a perfect person, I could overlook all the ugly because she had allowed me to see the beautiful.  Not...
